CoachZR
A professional home for firearms coaches, gunsmiths and mentors, connected to the ShoQ ZR app.
What CoachZR is
“CoachZR is the professional home for coaches, gunsmiths, mentors, and certified professionals.”
CoachZR describes itself as “the professional home for coaches, gunsmiths, mentors, and certified professionals.” It is for NRA, USCCA and independent coaches, gunsmiths, equipment mentors (veterans, experienced owners, community leaders) and other professionals who serve gun owners.
Each coach gets their own site at yourname.coachzr.com to publish courses and digital content and to manage their students. CoachZR is connected to the ShoQ ZR training app. Verified coaches appear in a directory inside ShoQ ZR. With a student's permission, a coach sees that student's session logs, drill history and compatible hardware data. CoachZR says sharing is always opt-in and controlled by the student.
Coaches can assign lessons and custom programs, message students about a specific session, and track progress between in-person classes. CoachZR says there is no platform subscription for coaches. Content sales carry a disclosed 18% platform service fee. Coaches are identity-verified before their listing goes live. Certifications such as NRA or USCCA are optional and shown as a badge.
How it benefits FMN members
For students
- Find a verified coach or mentor through the CoachZR directory in the ShoQ ZR app.
- Keep learning from your instructor between classes, sharing only the training data you choose.
For instructors and mentors
- Get a free professional site at yourname.coachzr.com to publish courses, drill guides and other digital content.
- With permission, see a student's practice logs before class, so you know their gaps before you start.
- Assign lessons and track progress between in-person sessions, including for remote students.
- Mentors and gunsmiths can join too. CoachZR lists equipment mentors and gunsmiths alongside coaches.

Why we partnered
CoachZR puts it plainly: most people get their carry permit and stop training. FMN helps people book that first class. CoachZR and ShoQ ZR are built to keep students practicing afterwards and to bring them back to a coach when they're ready for more.
For instructors and mentors in our network, that means a free home for your online content and a way to stay connected with the students you meet through FMN. So we partnered with CoachZR.

CoachZR says there is no platform subscription for coaches. Content sales carry an 18% platform service fee; see their site for current terms.
CoachZR is a separate company and an FMN partner. Its accounts, prices, privacy practices and terms are its own, and Firearm Mentorship Network doesn't run, verify or guarantee its services. Signing up there doesn't create or change your FMN account.
